Fact

The core problems are not technical in nature

Companies do not fail due to a lack of technical expertise. They lose time, money, energy, and potential when people are not deployed, managed, or developed according to their personalities. Unclear roles, poor hiring decisions, and a lack of fit lead to bad decisions, weak leadership, conflict, turnover, and stalled change processes. These frictions have a lasting negative impact on performance, motivation, collaboration, and employee retention.

Why choose us

Why Struss & Claussen

A foundation in science meets personal guidance — that is what sets our work apart.

Scientific potential assessment

Personality, potential, motives, and drivers are analyzed in detail using scientifically validated methods. This creates a solid foundation for selection, development, and leadership.

Psychological precision

Personality cannot be viewed in isolation. Behavior is contextual. That is why we incorporate motivation, performance history, work style, values, the current role, and the environment into every analysis.

Actionable recommendations

Every analysis results in concrete recommendations for selection, development, unlocking potential, leadership, collaboration, and strategic personnel decisions.

Four eyes. One recommendation.

Every analysis and recommendation is developed using a four-eyes principle. Diverse perspectives enhance the quality of our results and minimize subjective bias.

Every organization asks different questions

The challenge
Employees want development that is tailored to their personality, role, and life stage. At the same time, the daily business of recruiting, employee retention, leadership development, and transformation leaves little room for individual support for every single person.

The challenge
What motivates one person may cause another to mentally check out. Successful leadership means reducing complexity, staying composed in uncertain times, and providing individual support to diverse personalities. The demands on interpersonal skills, communication, adaptability, and personal leadership presence are constantly increasing.

The challenge
The transition from high performer to leader fundamentally changes your day-to-day work. Suddenly, it is no longer just about your own performance, but about motivating others, delegating responsibility, and successfully bringing different personalities together.

The challenge
Today, only one in ten employees feels a strong emotional connection to their company. At the same time, only about 20% of people worldwide say they are able to do what they do best every day at work. The fact that such enormous potential remains untapped is just as detrimental to employees as it is to companies.

The challenge
Small and medium-sized enterprises thrive on people who take responsibility. This makes it all the more important to identify potential early, develop leadership skills, strengthen teams, and retain employees for the long term.

The challenge
Succession, intergenerational responsibility, and collaboration are closely intertwined in family businesses. Different personalities, expectations, and roles collide daily, shaping decisions that extend far beyond the company itself.

The challenge
How can individual development succeed in large organizations? Standardized development programs reach their limits when people work, learn, and lead in different ways. At the same time, there is a growing demand to make personnel development and potential realization more personal and measurable.

The challenge
Expectations rise with every funding round. A founding team gradually evolves into an organization, usually faster than structures can be put in place. This makes the right people, strong leadership, effective communication, and a company culture that keeps pace with growth all the more important.

Which challenge would you like to tackle first?

Whether it's potential diagnostics, leadership development, job crafting, or team development: together, we will analyze your current situation, identify the biggest levers, and develop initial ideas on how we can effectively support your company.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions about working with us

Answers to the most important questions regarding collaboration, formats, and implementation.

What types of companies are your services suitable for?

Our services are aimed at start-ups, medium-sized companies, family businesses and corporations. The question at hand matters more than the size of the company. Some companies want to develop leaders purposefully, while others seek support for teams, specific peer groups, potential diagnostics, employee retention, job crafting, team development or succession. Together, we identify which approach is right for your situation.

How do we determine which service is right for our company?

We always begin with a no-obligation conversation. In speaking with an experienced coach, you can describe your concern and ask any questions you have. We want to understand the challenges you currently face and the goals you are pursuing. It is also important for us to gain an impression of the people involved. Only then do we recommend the formats that we believe will create the greatest value for your company.

How does Struss & Claussen differ from traditional training or coaching providers?

We never begin with a method; we always begin with the people. That is why we create a tailored service for every concern. Scientific potential diagnostics and psychological analysis form the basis of our work and every service we provide. This produces solutions individually suited to the personalities involved, their roles and your company’s situation. We do not make generic, one-size-fits-all recommendations.

Why does your work always begin with a personality assessment?

Because development is sustainable only when it suits the individual personality and specific situation of the person involved. Our diagnostics reveal potential, motives, beliefs, achievement motivation, working methods and areas for development. Only on this basis can recommendations be genuinely individualized and therefore effective.

When are in-person formats useful, and when are digital programs appropriate?

Both have their place and usually complement one another very well. Coaching, potential diagnostics and team development benefit from personal interaction and are particularly suitable for complex questions, conflicts or individual development needs. Digital programs such as Inner Voice or Job Crafting support employees over a longer period and can be integrated flexibly into their working day. Many companies deliberately combine both formats.

Can we begin with a smaller project?

Of course! In fact, many companies initially choose a pilot project, a single management level or a selected team. This allows both sides to get to know the working relationship and enables us to assess together which next steps make sense.

How do you create individualized development when many employees are involved?

This is one of the most frequently asked questions. Our answer is to combine scientific potential diagnostics, personal support and digital development formats. This keeps development tailored to each individual personality without requiring every employee to receive exclusively one-to-one coaching.

Can your services be integrated into existing HR or leadership programs?

Yes. That is exactly what they are designed for. Our formats complement existing talent programs, leadership academies, development programs, employee reviews and change processes. You do not need to reinvent anything; you can build on existing structures.

How much time do HR and managers need to invest?

We know how full the calendars of HR teams and managers are today. That is why we place great importance on keeping our formats administratively lean and easy to integrate into day-to-day business. Our aim is to create a format that takes work off your hands rather than adding to it. We always coordinate the exact process with you.

How do you measure the success of your initiatives?

At the outset, we define together how you would identify and recognize success. Depending on the project, this might include successfully filling a position, a better fit between employees and roles, stronger leadership, higher employee retention, constructive conflict management, better collaboration or greater personal responsibility. Our work is goal- and results-oriented. It is always important to us that development becomes visible in everyday work.

How exactly does working with Struss & Claussen proceed?

We always begin with a personal conversation. We then develop an individual concept tailored to your company and goals. Together, we define the target group, formats and process, and support implementation so that it integrates smoothly into your day-to-day business.

Do you recognize your company in some of these areas?

We would love to get to know you. In a no-obligation initial consultation, we will discuss your current situation and work together to develop initial ideas on which approaches can create the greatest added value for your company.
